About me

Hi everyone!

My name is Chloe May and I’m a freelance writer specialising in topics such as nature and animals, weddings and entertainment. I have worked for both weekly titles, such as the kids magazine The Week Junior, and monthly titles, such as NG Kids, and in my spare time, I also freelance on Copify, for Souper Media and DJAW Designs. I began my journalism career at National Geographic Kids UK as their kick-ass Editorial and Marketing Assistant (a role that I created for myself), and created this blog as one of my New Year’s Resolutions back in 2014 to explore my creative capabilities.

On my homepage, I refer to my blog as a load of ‘hodgepodge’ purely because I have a number of passions and couldn’t decide on one specific area in which to focus on. So I knew it would most likely be a collection of random, (hopefully) enjoyable topics! Since creating this blog, I have completed the 365 Days of Writing Prompts set by WordPress – which was a lot of fun – as well as reviewed various shows, films and experiences. Recently, I had let blogging slide – I guess writing all day for work put me off writing for fun in my spare time. But that’s set to change…

I hope you enjoy my work and please do feel free to leave comments, as I love feedback! Please get in touch if you are interested in my services as a freelancer – whether it be reviews, product descriptions, rewriting, interviews or ghost blogging.

    • Hi Joy! Thank you so much for your kind words! I initially starting this blog as a personal challenge to see if I could keep to the 365 Days of Writing Prompts challenge and in a bid to improve my writing skills – in no way did I expect anyone to be interested in what I had to say or expect such a lovely and heart-warming response from fellow bloggers! Happy February to you, too! Best wishes, Chloe
