4/31 What’s fear?

4. What are you afraid of

The usual things people are afraid of… Getting hit by a car, living life alone, spiders, losing one of my senses, having to pull all of the hair out the bath plug so the water can drain again, not picking the right flatmate to live with next…

It’s a funny thing, fear. As author H. P. Lovecraft so rightly said “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” In a nutshell, that’s what the future is… unknown. And that’s how it’ll always stay, no matter how hard people try to predict what’s in store for us… you’ve just got to roll with it.
