A brand new you, effective tomorrow!

#365: Tomorrow is the first day of a brand new year. Tomorrow you get to become anyone in the world that you wish. Who are you? If you decide to stay “you” share your rationale.

I’d still be me – just a healthier, non-ill version! I look forward to the simple things, like eating normal food once again and more than anything, I’ve just realised I’m really looking forward to deciding what I’ll do with my blog for 2015! So far, I’m thinking one of the following:
– taking up a photography challenge;
– writing about the events and opportunities my career takes me to;
– turning it into a bucket list blog;
– writing regular reviews on my favourite things (films, games, restaurants etc).

It would be great to hear from my fellow bloggers on their thoughts or any other ideas.

Thanks to everyone in the blogging community for welcoming me into this incredible world and showing me such overwhelming support – you’ve made 2014 fabulous!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I believe in magic

#364: You have been transformed into a mystical being who has the ability to do magic. Share your new abilities in detail. How will you use your new skills?

Ditto to yesterday’s prompt – damn illness! Although, since it’s a Netflix program I’ve been indulging in due to being incapacitated, I’d be a mermaid with similar powers to the H2O Maiko island characters.

Brainwave

#363: What’s the best idea you’ve ever had? Regale us with every detail of the idea — the idea itself, where it came to you, and the problem it solved.

Argh – this would have been a cracking prompt to answer but unfortunately, I’ve been unwell since 2:30am this morning (for the past 18 or so hours) and still do not see myself as being “on the mend”. Just hope I don’t have an A&E visit on the horizon…

The new school

#362: You get to redesign school as we know it from the ground up. Will you do away with reading, writing, and arithmetic? What skills and knowledge will your school focus on imparting to young minds?

Thinking back, I can’t really fault the ways in which my school operated. The only things I’d add are fun things such as learning more unique sports i.e. more dance based or learning how to swim like a mermaid; it would have been nice to learn various words and phrases in more languages; and more digital based/media skills (although back in those days we were just learning how to touch type!).

You’re a winner

#361: You’ve just won £1 billion pounds in the local lottery. You do not have to pay tax on your winnings. How will you spend the money?

I’d first use it to set up my family for the rest of their days, mortgage and bills wise. I’d then quit my job and really focus all my time and energy on finding an exciting new job within the video editing/producing/presenting industry. During this time, to mix it up, I’d plan a killer family holiday, making sure everyone’s wishes were fulfilled. Once I’d secured my perfect role, I’d finally move into London and start various evening classes.

Of course, it goes without saying that I’d donate regularly to charity and give food, drinks and/or blankets etc to the homeless.

P.s. I missed yesterday’s prompt as I spent Boxing Day with all the family… also looking after my cousins 4 and 6 year old girls… needless to say I slept for almost 15 hours today! (I usually get 6-8 hours sleep a night).

I was here

#359: You are the first astronaut to arrive on a new, uncharted planet. Write the note that you leave to those who come after you.

Howdee fellow being!

Congratulations on reaching planet Zzod – unfortunately though, you’re not the first one!

I have to be quick, so I can only give you one small piece of advice – don’t feed the fish!

Enjoy your stay!

The best day ever

#358: You get to enjoy the best day ever — describe in detail what that means to you. Where are you? What will you do? What’s the weather like? What will you eat? Who will you see?

I’d be with my family of course – my mums side and my American relatives that are currently over for Christmas (hence why my posts have been fairly late recently). It wouldn’t matter too much where we were so long as it could fit everyone in cozily. We’d be reminiscing and playing games… sort of how today went really! We’d eat lots of mini versions of the classics – fish ‘n’ chips, fajitas, bruschetta, filled naans and of course, mini puddings!

Merry Christmas everyone!

The guilt that haunts me

#357: Share a time when you were overcome with guilt. What were the circumstances? How did you overcome you guilt?

There has been many a time when I’ve felt guilty – especially when I realise I’m unable to help all of the homeless people around London. It always breaks my heart to see people living on the streets, even more so this time of year.

I don’t think there is a way to overcome the guilt with this completely. But when I can, I like to give someone lunch or contact a charity who could help provide a lot more.

Interplanet Janet

#356: You get to design your own planet: tell us all about it — the weather, the seasons, the inhabitants. Go.

Planet theatre 😀 it would have a mixture of weathers but would be predominantly sunny. It would be mostly autumn as I love the crispness of the season. The inhabitants… all who love the fabulousness of the theatre!

My number one

#355: Who is the most important person in your life? Describe that person in as great a detail as you can muster and most importantly, tell us why you cherish this person.

Haven’t we had this prompt already… ?
