#104: Pause whatever you’re doing, and ask the person nearest you what they’re thinking about (call someone if you have to). Write a post based on it.
Since we’re on press day, I can’t really ask anyone nearby… time is precious! So, I’ll bend the rules ever so slightly and make an educated guess at what they’re thinking (and by evaluating certain behaviours and comments I’ve noticed so far today).
“There’s still so much to get done before this evenings deadline – copy still to write, pages to be approved, images to drop in… it’s going to be a late one! Although, thankfully not as late as last months a.m. finish – yikes! If only we had the ability to stop time… quick everybody check their purses for 50p coins and start rubbing the Queen’s nose!* Although we might have aching thumbs after and we need those to put this magazine together!”
* FYI – The Queen’s Nose: this is a TV series based on Dick King-Smiths novel of the same name, which started in 1995 and ran for six years on CBBC. This programme followed the main character, Harmony Parker, being given a magic coin by her uncle – this allowed her to do anything she wanted, with just a rub of the Queen’s nose!
