Clean slate

#13: Explore the room you’re in as if you’re seeing it for the first time. Pretend you know nothing. What do you see? Who is the person who lives there?

Well, taking into consideration that I write my weekday blog posts during my lunch break, the room I find myself in is not lived in as such, in the same sense as someone living in a home … there certainly isn’t a bed anywhere to be seen! However, it is evident that during the daylight hours it is very much lived in, with its worn seats and overflowing bookcase. In terms of location, it is situated on the second floor and the windows to the room are inward facing in the fact that the building is curved (imagine a Hula Hoop cut in half) and this room is on the inside, only revealing a generic courtyard-style seating area below and the other side of the building … so this truly could be anywhere! I notice that there are also a lot of magazines everywhere, so either the inhabitant really likes collecting this one specific magazine or this is the birthplace and HQ of this brand. The desk I choose to sit at is very neatly organised, with a very well equipped stationary pot to the right of the mac containing everything a hard worker could possibly need and what seems to be a very useful in-tray. Aside from the items just mentioned, a seemingly brand new notepad only containing a half completed to do list graces the desk, clearly showing the inhabitants dedication and focus to achieve.
